Staff must be given clearly defined and obtainable goals in writing to achieve, and as most staff in remote store locations will not always be as motivated as we wish, should have these targets broken down into daily and if needed hourly goals. By breaking them down into smaller achievable goals, we are actually helping to keep them motivated, and giving them something to chase. The simple act of them achieving these targets does a couple of things, firstly helps you the business owner or manager achieve your cash flow targets, but, and this is so important, creates a sense of achievement for the staff member or members involved.

Remember, if it is not written down it is just an idea, once written it becomes a goal.
